The first stage of the italki Community was released in April 2019, upgrading the UI, content, and preparing the italki Community for a mobile-first company strategy.

I worked with the Livwell team to build out a mobile application to be used in the Wechat ecosystem in Shanghai. The application is built in React.js and there is an associated web scraper that runs at regular intervals to collect data from other listing websites in the area. The team and I scraped over 180,000 listings and translated them to Chinese using googles cloud API suite for the application launch.
